Week 28 Update

5th Grade Weekly Update
Dear Parents,
March, along with our third quarter of the school year, is nearing an end. This can only mean that we’re ending a busy month with one of our favourite activities of the year, the International Expo.  Please be aware that we will have our games and activities along with displays in the auditorium on Monday morning. The students will also be presenting their projects in class on Tuesday morning. See below for the times of these two events.      
What we learned this week
Maths: Topic 13 Solids/Topic 14 Measurement Units, Time, and Temperature
Literacy: Historical Fiction Writing/Katie’s Trunk/War Horse/Good Sentences
Science: Chapter 5 – The Water Cycle
Social Studies: Chapter 12 The Years After The War.

Reminders
1.     International Week presentations will take place on Monday, March 27 from 9:00 – 11:30. In-class presentations will take place on Tuesday, March 28 from 11:10 – 12:15
2.     The last day of school before Spring Break is Friday, March 31, 2017.
