5^th Grade Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

We’ve reached the end of our first full week since returning from the Lunar New Year break. Here is what we got up to this week.     

What we learned this week

Maths: Topic 10 – Adding and Subtracting Fractions and Decimals

Literacy: Writing a story (Focus on characters and plot)

Science: Chapter 3 – Growth and Survival

Social Studies: Chapter 8 The Roaring Twenties

What we will learn next week

Maths: Topic 10 – Adding and Subtracting Fractions and Decimals + Topic Test/Topic 11- Multiplying Fractions and Mixed Numbers

Literacy: Literacy Week Activities

Science: Chapter 3 – Growth and Survival Chapter Wrap-up and Test.

Social Studies: Chapter 9 The Great Depression and The New Deal
