Grade Weekly Update
Dear Parents,
We’ve reached the
end of the last full week of the school year. There are only four and a half
days of Grade 5 left. Thank you to all of the students and parents for the
contributions they have made to a most enjoyable year.
What we learned this
week
Maths: Topic 20 Probability
Literacy: Fantasy Narrative Reading and Writing – Bridge to
Terrabithia
Science: Chapter 6: Earth and Space
Social Studies: Chapter 16 People and Government.
What we will learn NEXT
WEEK
We have completed almost all of our curriculum for the year
so will spend next week wrapping up our focus on Poetry. We will also get our
hands covered in chalk for our last Art lesson of the year. Other than that,
all that remains to be done is the writing of a letter to Mr. Ferreira about
what we expect to learn with him next year.
Announcements:
Student
of the Week:
Well done, Ibuki Tokuda.
Reminders
1.
Please note that Thursday next week
is the last day of school. Students will be dismissed shortly after lunch time.
Have a pleasant weekend if we
don’t see you at our Wizard of Oz performance tonight.
Mr. Robus
