Week 10 Update

5^th Grade Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

We’ve just bid farewell to the month of October and by the time our first Parent-Teacher conference takes place starting next Monday, we will already find ourselves in the middle of November. The school is abuzz with preparations not only for our upcoming Thanksgiving and Fun Day celebrations, but also our Christmas show that is just over a month away.    

Important Note: Due to our Parent-Teacher meetings next week, there will be NO CLUBS on either Monday or Wednesday.

What we learned This week

Math: Topic 5 – Dividing by two-digit divisors.

Literacy: Introduction to Informational Writing/My Side of the Mountain/Nouns Test/Unit 3 Verbs/Novel: The Tiger Rising

Science: Chapter 1 – Properties of Matter

Social Studies: Ch. 4 The Move Westward

What we will learn Next week

4. Our Fun Day will start at 1:10pm on Wednesday, November 30^th.
